More from Fire and Ice

"Fire and ice, two poles of creation, energy, and destruction.  Life is precarious on our fragile planet.  Ice, which I have now photographed in both the Antarctic and more recently in the Arctic, is a major contributor to the climate change that is just beginning to impact us.  Fire also fascinates me.  Recently I photographed Pompeii, Iceland, and the Pinacate region of northern Mexico.  In India, I photographed the forests and animals of Kipling's Jungle Tales–a magical world minimally protected and highly endangered."
